Ingredients for 6 people
- 480 g British eating apples – peeled weight
- 150g plain flour
- 150 g granulated sugar
- 50 g butter – chilled
- 6 tbs De Nigris Organic Apple Cider Vinegar
- 250 ml water
For the recipe
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C.
Peel, core and chop the apples
Take a small size bowl,
Place the flour, 130g of the sugar, and cold butter in a bowl, and mix with your hand, until you combine the ingredients together, into large crumbs. Set aside.
Place the chopped apples in a saucepan, with the other 20g of sugar, the water and De Nigris Apple Cider Vinegar, bring to the boil, and then reduce to a simmer, stirring until the apple is soft and the Apple Cider Vinegar and water are absorbed.
Divide the cooked apple between six medium-sized ramekins and cover with crumble mixture.
Cook in the centre of the oven, for about 30 minutes, or until the top of the crumble is golden.
