Ingredients for 4 people
- 500 g bread flour
- 1 sachet (7 g) fast action dried yeast
- 2 tsp salt flakes (plus extra to top)
- 2 tsp caster sugar
- 20 ml extra virgin olive oil + 20 ml more for coating
- 340 ml water
- 3 tsp De Nigris Gold Label Balsamic Vinegar + 3 tsp more for coating
For the recipe
Pour flour into a bowl, and stir in dried yeast, salt and sugar, andd water and mix well with your hand until a smooth dough forms. Knead for five minutes then add 3 tsp De Nigris Gold Label Balsamic Vinegar and mix in well. Add 20 ml exta virgin olive oil and incorporate. Grease dough with remaining oil. Cover the bowl with cling film and leave to rest for about two hours.
Pre heat oven to 200 degrees C. Remove dough from bowl and place in an oiled oven tray. Spread dough evenly, and push holes into the surface with your fingers. Add remaining De Nigris Gold Label Balsamic Vinegar and push it into the holes. Sprinkle with remaining salt flakes and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until crunchy and golden.
