Ingredients for 4 people

  • 1 kg turnips, peeled and cut into small chunks​​
  • 50 g butter​
  • 200 ml water​
  • 1 tbsps honey​
  • 4 tsps De Nigris Gold Label Balsamic Vinegar of Modena
  • Salt and pepper​, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil​
  • 2 tsps garlic powder​

For the recipe

Arrange turnips in a single layer in a large, heavy-bottomed pan.
Dot butter over top, add water, and bring to a boil over high heat.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, until water has evaporated, (c. 20 mins.) Meanwhile, combine balsamic, honey, salt, and pepper in a small, bowl, whisk in oil until fully incorporated, and set aside.​
Increase heat to high, sprinkle turnips with garlic powder and cook, turning carefully, until tender and browned. Stir in honey, Thick & Intense Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and oil mix and add more salt and pepper to taste. Sit and allow to caramelise, remove from heat and serve warm.​
